Friday 8/11 - Disaster Movies

You know you are always hearing about disasters that happened on the set of a movie. Things like studios burning down or people mysteriously becoming ill all at the same time. Well... today we had our own little disaster. The art department van started rolling after being parked for an hour and went careening into a bush and pond. Fortunately no one was hurt. The pond is a bit messed up and the door of the van was bent practically all the way off, but that was it. The most fortunate thing was that I had decided to move the Video Village from yesterday’s location. The reason this was fortunate was because the van ended up right where I was sitting (along with a bunch of other folks).

Video Village on Thursday (same as earlier photo)

The Art Department van on Friday (this is the same spot as above from a different angle)

As if that were not enough later in the afternoon Liz’s car ended up in a ditch as she backed up letting someone through on a narrow English country lane.

All in all Friday was a tough day of shooting. We rushed through several of the scenes toward the end of the day.

Here is the burndown graph for Friday
