Slang word for the day

I know that some of my Washington urbanite friends will appreciate this new slang word that I learned. Chav – adj. 1) Pretentiously gaudy especially with respect to economic standing. 2) Nouveau riche. 3) Common

Chav is an interesting word in that no one can really come up with a concise definition. This is my best attempt a conveying the meaning. Note there is disagreement with my definitions.
